Meet Mike
Proud to be born and raised in Jeffersontown, KY
I have been involved with many local initiatives and have become extremely passionate while serving J-town even without being on the City Council. I always go the extra mile, not because I have to, but because I want to. I know it’s the right thing to do. This is true for the teams I have coached, the employees I’ve managed, the family my wife and I have raised, and the community I serve.
I have been blessed to have many male role models in my life. Honorable men, like my father and grandfather, who proudly served their country and taught me what service and sacrifice look like, to my father-in-law who taught me how to manage a business. Most importantly these men demonstrated what it looks like to be a devoted husband, father and friend. My heart and soul are filled when I am serving.
It is what I have found to be my purpose in life… to be a good leader who serves well.

A Strong History
Starting my career with The LawnPro in 1995 while earning a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Louisville, I learned landscape management from the ground up. I have served as Chief Operations Officer since 2000 and became president of The LawnPro in 2020.
From my years of playing and coaching both football and baseball in J-town, growing a successful company, and the many volunteer projects I have both led and participated in, they have all made an impact on my professional & personal development. Most importantly, it has brought me to a place of confidence and honor to have the opportunity to lead and serve as a Jeffersontown’s Council member.
- President of The LawnPro
- Board Member of Jeffersontown’s Board of Adjustment
- Awarded the “Going the Extra Mile Award” from the City of Jeffersontown in 2012
- Volunteer Landscape and Snow Services for Project EverGreen – GreenCare and SnowCare for Troops
- The Lawn Pro has donated lawn care services for almost 20 years to care for the Historic German Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery in J-town
- SIMA 2009 Volunteer of the Year
- Baseball and Football coach for Jeffersontown Youth Leagues
